Lorna Scott - Biography

LORNA SCOTT is most often recognized as James McAvoy's stapler-yielding boss-from hell in the 2008 summer blockbuster, "Wanted" (Universal) which just came out on DVD a few months ago.  Since, the veteran character actress is quickly becoming a household name with a bevy of high-profile projects completed in the last year including her newest, a starring role in the new Bob Saget series, “Surviving Suburbia¸” which airs Wednesday nights at 9:30 pm on ABC.   The hysterical sitcom earned the coveted spot (formerly inhabited by “Samantha Who) over all the new fare scheduled for the network beginning this month.

Lorna is sought after by a diverse cross-section of the industry’s leading directors, producers and casting directors as she has become known for impeccable comedic timing as well as intense dramatic flair.  Her wide range of roles in the past year includes a starring role in Del Shores' hysterical, cult hit "Sordid Lives" (LOGO), the pivotal cameo in highly-rated series "True Blood" (HBO), as one of the stars of the kitschy import, "Little Britain U.S.A." and as the co-star to Faith Ford in the Hallmark Movie Channel’s holiday movie, "Kiss At Midnight" with Dyan Cannon and Hal Linden.  Soon, she will be seen opposite John Malkovich in Playtone’s "The Great Buck Howard."

Lorna is involved in a plethora of charities which range from animal rights to breast cancer awareness and causes that empower women.  She lends her name and support to the SPCA, the Bill Foundation which rescues and places dogs, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Sierra Club as she strives to “be green” in every area of her life.
